Lani Wendt Young's new Telesā world novel Fire's Caress is a finalist for the Young Adult Fiction Award in the New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults. Children's book website The Sapling, talked recently with Lani about the inspiration behind the book, why she likes to write for young adults, and about her favourite characters.
