The New Zealand Book Awards for Children and young Adults has released a fun booklet of activities to help you discover more about some of the finalist books, and to learn some cool, new things along the way! It includes a cool activity based on the knots in The Tomo.
You can do the activities by yourself or with a friend or classmate, and even make up your own activities for some of the other books.
The National Library helped put together the booklet and they have also released written an article on great junior and YA fiction in and out of the classroom which is well worth a read.
